It's a Beautiful Day (Inauguration Edition)

"I, Barack Obama, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."

"So help me God"

With those words, the transition of power is completed. No more Georgie, welcome Obama.

Some quick thoughts from watching this historic ceremony
  • Rick Warren's opening prayer was brilliant. It reminded Americans how God is such an integral part of our lives and our happiness and success does lie on God's hands, not Barack's
  • Rick Warren needs to work on his pronounciation of "Sasha", he needs to say it with less emphesis and "savage-ness" :P
  • I really do admire Barack. He seemed completely relaxed (minus the oath part), and confident. It is his body language and the way his tranquility in his speeches that provides our country with hope and optimism amist this mess that we're in.
  • Georgie has aged...alot
  • Observing the random camera close-ups on the crowds, I saw people of all races, from all over the world. Especially those African-Americans that are up in their ages. They experienced immense racism and discrimination when they were young, today must of been the day of their lives.
  • Now seeing our 44th president swearing the oath to lead our democratic country, I can see and feel the American value of freedom for all put into practice

Today was beautiful and it belonged to Barack Obama. God bless him :)
