Q: What is a 潮人？
A: A 潮人 at the most basic level is someone who stays on top of the latest fashion, the latest fads, the latest ideas. So when look at a chao ren, u get a glimpse of everything that is "in" right now.
Q: So a chao ren is basically someone whos rich and buys fancy clothe and items right?
A: NO!!! Being rich doesn't make you a chao ren, although it helps to be rich if u wanna be able to afford all the LV's, lacostes, nikes, gucci's, and all that. But chao ren is more of a lifestyle, we (I am a new convert haha) are pretty stubborn people, but in a good way of course :) High self-esteem is one of our characteristics and we are not vulnerable to peer pressure. So we live life with confidence, being confident in our lifestyle. Therefore, being chao ren is impossible without the correct attidude, regardless of how many LV's u own. Instead, u r a poser.
Q: Why do I wanna be a chao ren?
A: It makes me feel good and happy. There really is no other reason. I am not afraid to stand out for what i believe in and i believe that not standing up for ur values is the equivilant to no
t having them.
Q: So great sushi, u r turning into a materialist, worshipping materialism and money...?
A: Absolutely not! I've found a way to build my faith into the chao ren philosophy. In a way, christianity is chao in a way. We believers are called to practiced our faith without wavering, standing up and proclaiming our beliefs. So the idea is very similar in many other ways as well. In terms of money and materialism, I am careful to place God above all other things. I am becoming more and more grounded in my faith, which is making life alot easier and I feel more freedom as a result. All in all, being a chao ren will not affect my faith what so ever.

A: Cuz I felt the urge to.
