For the first time in a, well...long time, i can say that life is laid back and relaxing! Ever since the moments leading up and then hitting the submit button to 5 colleges, I felt a sense of relief that I had not experienced in quite a while. It has been quite strange actually. Without vigorously studying for the SATs and nervously writing and editing and rewriting and rewriting my essays, I almost forgot how to live a low stress life. Of course I knew how, like everyday i come home i'll just toss my backpack to the side, turn on the computer and then go about my "routine", which consist of checking my various forums, facebook, the stock market, youtube, and then start homework. But it just dosnt FEEL right. maybe i am still adjusting from a high stress life to a low stress life. idk...but what i do know is that having ample time in your hands is neither a good thing nor a bad thing. what matters is what i do with the extra time.
so mr.barrack is our 44th president. Even though this has been a historic election and an all time high number of eligible voters got out the door and voted during election day, I still find myself in a state of political unconsiousness. Everyday in school, I can bank on hearing my fellow peers sharing his or her opinion about either candidates, or just reacting to a recent debate or speech. Taking all those words into mind, I don't know what to make of them. As much as i try to engage myself in the world of politics, I am either just politically retarded or just uninterested. I know i should care because the new policies will be the ones i deal and cope with as an independent adult. But at the same time, if you ask me to choose between watching a presidential debate or a celtics game.....well u no what my pick will be.
Nevertheless congrats to mr.obama, this country rlly has come a long way from fighting racism and jim crow to now having a african american as our commander in chief. God Bless America!
