I am back and heres what's been goin on lately.
My summer job had been secure and aside from a week of CR missions, I've been sitting in that now secluded cube of mine all summer long. Initial hopes of learning technology and getting smarter now seem like distant impossibilities. The main problem is that its either i do boring and tedious(simple) stuff, or I hit the lab and build radios thats ultimately going to be responsible for the security of our nation :/ theres no in between job :( Aside from that, the job did provide me with some much needed working experience and a taste of adulthood, its actually quite scary. But woah, adulthood, techniquely is approaching in less than 3 months. Everything seems like its coming sooo soon

Okay okay, i shall shift my attention to a more interesting subject.
The Olympics :DDD
Words cannot describe how much I enjoy watching and experiencing this amazing event. Watching the opening ceremony allowed in me a sense of cultural pride, the mind blowing performances demonstrated to the world not only China's deep and unique culture, but also indicated that China has the capabilities of a superpower and yes they did just won my vote for the best olympic opening ceremony of all time. I felt proud to be a Chinese, it was a indescribable feeling when i hear other people talk in awe and appreciation about the ceremony. It was an athletic event that was not restricted to the realms of athletics. GO CHINA!
When i opened up my browser this morning to my homepage yahoo.com, my eyes could not believe what they saw. The headline read "Liu's injury leaves China Brokenhearted". The protagonist, Liu Xiang, China's very own track star, yes we actually have one believe it or not. He was practically the face of the olympics, him along with Yao and diver Guo JingJing appeared pervasively ranging from commercials to their faces printed on coke bottles. I couldn't believe what I saw and furthermore I couldn't resist but to feel alittle broken hearted myself. Liu as to China as Michael Phelps is to U.S.A. But Liu represented China's burning pride, and when he dropped and walked out of the bird nest, China broke down and cried like a baby, it suffered a devastating blow. Many years of training and hardwork prepared Liu to race for the gold in front of the 1.3billion in the home country, in the motherland. And he didn't even get to race....
I instantly logged onto the Chinese web and was eager to see what the reaction was on the China side. Within a few seconds, I was burning with anger again. Some stupid immature poster theorized that Liu was faking the injury as a way to not embarass himself for he had no clear shot for winning. Comments filled with scolding and harassment appeared instantaneously, people couldn't take his cursory withdrawal, they were shocked. So they thought it was okay to pour out their anger on that sure to be more depressed athlete who once carried their hopes. It was sooo ridiculous....while watching the replays of his "almost" race, every step he took he demonstrated tremendous pain, as shown by his caustic facial expressions, and each step meant one more sting on my heart.....
Anyways I could go on forever, but yall get the point. Liu is a hero, and a champion, not a coward who withdrew himself in order to avoid an embarassment.
